More and more renowned corporate owners takes more measures to protect his employees from pandemic and infectious flues as a reflection of the values and interest of his employees. This project of the air sterilizer for sailor’s rooms reflects the above positive trend.
Ultraviolet (UVC) lights is known to be very effective against virus, bacteria, spores and other pathogens in air with physical reaction without secondary harmful residue.
UVC induction lights has been proved to be most suitable for the the applications of air and surface disinfection in facilities where the access to the maintenance is difficult and where the access to get the professionals to replace the lamp once a year is difficult or limited as the UV induction lamp technology is featured with the lifespan as long as 60 thousand hours meaning no lamp replacement in five years which does not need operation cost other than energy cost after installation. So once these worry-free UV induction lamps are installed, it does not need yearly professions in replacement, handling, purchase, storage of new lamps, downtime for replacement when the traditional LPMV is compared.
Just like land-based vehicles such as truck bodies, cargo vans, and trailers, marine vessels require proper ventilation to ensure the health, safety, and comfort of occupants.
The vessel always runs for many months each year without much downtime and the owner always lacks of professions in lamp replacement.
Many cases showed that the virus could be spreading and cross-contaminating from one room to another during pandemic and the vessel has to stop operation as the sailors are absent from sickness. So we need to make sure that all incoming air are free of virus and bacteria in each room to avoid the cross contamination by ventilation system to keep the health of the occupants to avoid the break-out of the contamination in the whole vessel.
